The Problem
African fashion enthusiasts struggle to find quality custom-made wax outfits without going through long sessions at the tailor with uncertain results. Talented tailors lack regular clientele and are underutilized outside festive periods (Tabaski, Christmas, weddings). Premium wax imported from Ghana or Côte d'Ivoire is difficult to source in Dakar without going to the markets.

Global enthusiasm for African fashion (Afrobeats, Oscars, Fashion Week) creates growing demand among the African middle class. The Concept
WaxuStyle sends subscribers every month a custom-made African outfit based on a style profile and measurements registered online. At sign-up, the client fills a style questionnaire (colors, cuts, occasions) and sends their measurements via a guided video or by visiting a WaxuStyle workshop. Each month, a stylist selects the wax fabric and a partner tailor makes the outfit. Subscription starts at 35,000 FCFA/month. The diaspora can subscribe with international shipping included at 55,000 FCFA/month.
