The Problem
Senegalese landlords manage their rental properties entirely by hand: cash rent collection, informal lease agreements, phone reminders to late payers. The diaspora that owns properties in Senegal has no visibility on their rents and depends on often unreliable relatives for management. Rental disputes are common in the absence of documented payment proof.
The Opportunity
Dakar's rental real estate market represents over 150 billion FCFA in annual rents. The Senegalese diaspora owns over 40% of the rental housing stock in residential neighborhoods. Property management platforms remain virtually non-existent in French-speaking Africa while the need is massive and immediate.
The Concept
Jëkkër Immo lets any landlord create their property file in 5 minutes, invite tenants to register, and set up automatic monthly rent collection via Wave or Orange Money. The tenant receives a notification on the 1st of the month and validates payment from their phone. The landlord receives an automatic digital rent receipt. A dashboard summarizes collected rents, unpaid rents, and maintenance expenses per property. Diaspora landlords access their dashboard from anywhere in the world.
